PICK UP FROM THE AIRPORT – CASABLANCA.(45 minutes).
The 13 days Morocco Desert Tour itinerary from Casablanca starts with a warm welcome from the airport by our driver/guide and drive to Casablanca city, check into the hotel and go to Marjane or Carrefour to buy some food and snacks.

Dinner at Ricks Cafe around 6:30pm. not included.

CASABLANCA – CHEFCHAOUEN.(5 hours).
Pick up from the hotel in the morning and drive to explore Hassan II mosque and have lunch in Casablanca then Depart to Chefchaouen.

To arrive in Chefchaouen is to dive into a labyrinth that is unlike any other Moroccan Medina, and yet it has a perfect order and harmony. All roads lead to Outa-Hammam Square, which holds the largest mosque and meeting center of its inhabitants. The blue city of Chefchaouen is one of the most charming and emblematic cities in Morocco. With a calm medina nestled between the Rif mountains and the Middle Atlas, Chefchaouen is famous for goat cheese. Suspended and anonymous among the mountains, the city is extraordinarily picturesque, ideal for those who like to explore a city with freedom and to take photos, and for those who find delight in the details, in terms of culture or architecture. Enjoy the view over the city, with its soft and continuous shades bathed in light, from the top of a hill.

You can also choose to spend overnight in Tangier and continue to Chefchaouen for 1 night on day 3.(2 hours drive from Tangier to Chefchaouen.

EXPLORE CHEFCHAOUEN.( no driving today just walking in the blue city).
Today we spend all day in Chefchaouen walking around the market where you can do shopping at a very fair price.

After we finish our walking tour, we have free time for shopping.

For the afternoon there is an outdoor option. You can choose to spend all day in CHEFCHAOUEN or spend the afternoon in Akchour Waterfalls.

In the blue city you can buy some magnets or clothes and make sure you negotiate the price.

The prices in CHEFCHAOUEN are usually fair.

CHEFCHAOUEN – VOLUBILIS – FES.(4.5 hours total drive, 3 hours to Volubilis and 1.5 hours from volubilis to Fes).
Departure in the morning to leave Chefchaouen for Volubilis and Fes. The Roman ruin of “Walili” -Volubilis-, great ruins with stunning scenery that will grab your attention when you are about to explore them. Proceed the drive to spend the night Fes.

FES GUIDED CITY WALKING TOUR.(20 minutes driving,(walking tour).
In Fes you can buy leather and pottery but please negotiate the price up to 20 to 25%.

But Essaouira also has leather and pottery so cheap but not same quality like Fes.

Dar El Makhzen: House of the Makhzen or the Royal Palace of the king of Morocco in the city of Fes. Was founded by the Marinid Dynasty in 1276.

FES – AZROU – MIDELT – ZIZ VALLEY – MERZOUGA(8.5 hours driving including some stops for breaks, sightseeing and lunch).
We will pick you up from your Riad in Fes then drive southwards to Ifrane and Azrou by the Middle Atlas mountains, On the way we will stop at cedar forest to see the Barbarian Ape in their natural habitat. Traveling through the Tizi Ntalghamt pass to Midelt and along the magnificent Ziz Gorges carved through volcanic rock, you’ll see views of the Middle-Atlas plateau, noticing how the scenery changes to reveal hints of the desert as you approach the city Errachidia. After lunch, we’ll continue our journey through the Ziz valley and Erfoud, arriving in Merzouga in the afternoon.

MERZOUGA – ERG CHEBBI – RISSANI – CAMEL RIDE.(1.5 hours driving).
Today is dedicated to discovering the oriental Sahara desert. We will drive through the desert visiting the nomads/natives in the Sahara desert so you get to know about the nomadic lifestyle. join them for a glass of tea and learn about their traditions, We will also go to visit Rissani, the last major city of about 40 km west of Erg Chebbi. Rissani itself is a very interesting old town. From 8 to 14 century it was a separate kingdom, known as Sijilmassa,prosperous by the caravan routes and visiting the local market – the interesting thing about this Souk is not a tourist souk, but for the people living there. 3 times a week is the market with sheep, goats and donkeys. Today you can try berber Pizza for lunch, it is a local speciality. Then we continue to Sahara to ride the camel on Sahara dunes to spend the night in a Luxury camp. At the camp you will be welcomed by a glass of Mint tea before you get to your tent with a private shower, dinner will be served at any time you want even 20 Minute after you get your Private Tent. After dinner you will have a chance to experience the Berber night which is to drum around the fire and dance the Berber’s way.

MERZOUGA ATV bikes – TODRA GORGES(Hiking for 2 hours)– DADES VALLEY.(4 hours driving).
Wake you up early in the morning to watch what may will be the best sunrise of your life. After breakfast you will ride ATV back to Merzouga appreciating the unique beauty of the spectacular desert – changing with the light as the day progresses. Meet your driver to leave for Risaani. Afterward leave for Tinghir and the Todra Gorges. They are spectacular limestone river canyons to discover and appreciate its beauty. At the Gorge we will go for 2 hours hiking, please bring solid shoes because the terrain is a little bit rough.Finally we arrived in the Dades Valley where we will have dinner and spend the night.

DADES VALLEY – OUARZAZATE – AIT BEN HADDOU – MARRAKECH (4.5 hours driving).
After breakfast we’ll drive through the Dades Valley towards Kelaat Mgouna and Ouarzazate. The route through the Dades Valley, the way of the thousand Kasbahs, provides numerous photo opportunities. We may visit the Roses valley and Skoura village, then continue to Ouarzazate, “the Hollywood of Africa”. Lunch is at the famous Ait Ben Haddou kasbah, the largest Kasbah in Morocco. After touring this UNESCO World Heritage site, our journey will continue through the majestic Tizi n Tichka pass, reaching an altitude of 2260m, over the High Atlas Mountains. We will stop to enjoy the impressive views and visit the Argan oil cooperative if you are interested in that. We will arrive in Marrakech in the late afternoon.

MARRAKECH GUIDED CITY TOUR (20 minutes driving).
You can also do shopping in Marrakech because they have a lot of options but if you prefer to do shopping here please negotiate the price up to 50-70%.

Things to see in Marrakech.

Palais Bahia: Is a palace built in the late 19th century, intended to be the greatest palace of its time.

Mellah: The area of the first Jewish settlement. Usually, the Jewish quarter was situated near the royal palace or the residence of the governor, in order to protect its inhabitants from recurring riots since its inhabitants played a vital role in the local economy. In contrast, rural mellahs were separate villages inhabited solely by the Jews.

Jemaa El-Fna square: is the main pulse of Marrakech. By day, the square buzzes with snake charmers, henna-tattoo artists and various other entertainers, while at night there are countless stalls boasting traditional lamb dishes and fresh orange juice, among other culinary delights. Tourists flock here all year round to experience the true heart of the city and to discover the intriguing things the locals have to offer in this Magical square.

Koutoubia Mosque: Is the largest mosque in Marrakech, Located nearby the Square,

Saadinn Tombs: Those tombs were created to stand as the final resting place for the many rulers and members of the Saadi dynasty.

Souk: On a trip to any Moroccan city, the souks are a must on the agenda. Marrakech is no exception. Labeled one of the most magical cities in the country, Marrakech boasts a full medina with traditional souks.

Majorelle Garden: One of the most popular locations in Morocco, the Majorelle Garden is the creation of French painter Jacques Majorelle, who spent 40 years injecting his passion and creativity into this magical garden. Complete with enchanting little lanes, tranquil streams and over 300 species of stunning plants, Jardin Majorelle is perfect for those who need a break from the busy city.

MARRAKECH – ESSAOUIRA(2.5 hours driving).
Essaouira is one of the best places for shopping, everything is Essaouira is great and fair price. But you can also negotiate the price a little, around 5-10%

Today we’ll drive to Essaouira which is one of the loveliest cities in Morocco and also a multicultural artistic center, which has captivated people like Jimi Hendrix, Orson Welles and Bob Marley. With a fresh ocean breeze permanently invading all the corners of its medina, the city of Essaouira stands out for its urban life and culture. Essaouira is also highlighted for its gastronomy based on fresh fish and in the use of Argan oil. Essaouira’s Medina was built in the 18th century. Nowadays the city is a World Heritage Site protected by UNESCO and is the favorite place for most Moroccan artists and musicians. The city is also the stage of the famous music festival Gnawa, an old spiritual art form of North-African Islamism.

After breakfast at the hotel we will start our walking tour in Essaouira.
